Parwich Memorial Hall

We are a charity, established after the Second World War, to provide and promote community hall facilities for the Derbyshire villages of Alsop en le Dale, Ballidon, Parwich, Pikehall and the surrounding area.  We took over the role from the previous Parwich Church Institute built in 1918 or thereabouts.

Our current building has served the community for nearly fifty years, but changing demands, expectations, legislation and just time has rendered it inadequate.  This website is to keep everyone up to date with our development plans and to enable you to participate in the process as fully as possible.  It is designed be used alongside our more interactive sister site, PARWICH.ORG

Managing the Project

The Charity is administered by the Memorial Hall Management Committee, with Parwich Parish Council being our 'holding trustees'.  Project Parwich is however a community initiated project and is being driven by a Steering Group that oversees three subgroups relating to Planning, Funding and Publicity:
